CN Canadian Women’s Open champion Brittany Lincicome jumped up five spots in the Rolex Rankings to crack the top 10 for the first time this season. Lincicome, now Rolex Rankings No. 10, posted rounds of 68-68-69-70 to edge fellow U.S. Solheim Cup team members Michelle Wie and Stacy Lewis by one stroke. Despite finishing in a tie for second, Lewis dropped one spot to No. 11, while Wie moved up two to No. 12. Yani Tseng remained the Rolex Rankings No. 1 for the 29th consecutive week.
Three LPGA Tour rookies – Jenny Shin, Jennifer Johnson and Tiffany Joh – made substantial moves up the Rolex Rankings this week. Shin fired a final-round 70 to card a career-best tie for sixth in Canada. The finish elevated her 77 spots in the Rankings to No. 201. Johnson and Joh also carded career-best finishes by posting ties for 12th. Johnson improved 49 positions to No. 203, while Joh moved up 17 spots to No. 132. Joh now sits third in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year race behind Hee Kyung Seoand Ryann O’Toole. Johnson and Shin are eighth and fifth in that race respectively.
Hee-Won Han posted her first top-10 finish of the season with a tie for sixth. The six-time career LPGA Tour winner moved up 18 spots to No. 106. Katie Futcher continued her steady climb up with an eight-position lift to Rolex Rankings No. 66.
