Injured Braves starters Tommy Hanson and Jair Jurrjens are taking their next steps in hopes of returning to Atlanta’s rotation. Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said Hanson, who’s sidelined with right shoulder tendinitis, will pitch two or three innings — a maximum of 35 pitches — Monday in the Instructional League at Orlando.
